Consultant Clinical Oncologist and Honorary Professor in Cancer Sciences

Consultant Clinical Oncologist at The Christie NHS FT and University of Manchester Honorary Professor in Cancer Sciences.
After graduating from the University of Manchester and training on the North West regional training scheme, including completing an MD is technical radiotherapy, Catherine was appointed as a consultant in 2005.
Working closely with neurosurgical colleagues at Salford Royal, she is a core member of the Neuro-Oncology, Base of Skull, Brain Metastases and NF2 MDTs.
Her professional focus includes clinical trials of novel agents in glioma, alongside advocating for excellence and education in all aspects of brain tumour patient care, from early diagnosis to rehabilitation, survivorship and supportive care.
She is the Greater Manchester Cancer Clinical Lead for Neuro-oncology, a member of the Tessa Jowell Brain Cancer Mission Academy Founders Board and Senior Editor for Neuro-Oncology for Macmillan Cancer.
