Neuro Oncology service (Christie and Salford Royal)
She qualified as an occupational therapist from Sheffield Hallam University in 1995 and worked in various clinical fields including mental health, elderly care, orthopaedics and stroke rehab before choosing to specialise in the broad area of neurology, in 1998. Following a period of time spent working as an OT on the acute neurosurgical wards at Salford where she worked with brain and spinal tumour patients in the post op phase, she realised that her clinical interest lay with brain and spinal tumours and continued to work in neuro surgery for 3 years before moving to work at The Christie Hospital in Manchester in 2003. There she worked in all areas of oncology for over 6 years, but her clinical interest remained with neuro oncology.
Areas of specific interest are; fatigue management, cognitive rehab, vocational rehab
